Data Protection
How we safeguard your challenge logs and local data
1. Local-First Architecture
The core mechanism of data protection in the 75 Days Challenge app is its local-first architecture. Unlike conventional applications that sync user data to remote cloud servers, this application functions as a self-contained vault on your smartphone.
- All database files (using SQLite structures) are created on your device.
- Your progress pictures are stored in private local directories allocated strictly to the app sandbox.
- No user account registration is required, which eliminates target lists for remote server data breaches.
2. Private Device Sandboxing
On iOS and Android operating systems, applications are segregated using sandboxing.
- Our application code operates inside a restricted sandbox environment. Other mobile apps on your device cannot access, query, or edit your 75 Days Challenge databases or photo archives.
- Daily progress snapshots are kept away from public photo rolls unless you choose to export them.
3. Access Control (PIN & Biometric Lock)
To protect against unauthorized physical access to your device, the application incorporates local authentication layers:
- Local security PIN: Establish a custom 4-digit code in the app settings to lock the interface.
- Biometric Credentials: Integrate OS-level security keys (such as Face ID or fingerprint checks) to secure your logs. The app handles authentication locally and does not receive or store your biometric data.
4. Network Safety & Third-Party SDK Isolation
Data transmission over the network is strictly limited:
- Secure Transport Layer: All network queries (e.g., loading configurations, updating resources, or request transactions) use HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- No Data Leaking: Third-party utilities integrated for telemetry (Firebase Crashlytics) and advertising networks (Google AdMob) do not receive your logged water volumes, workout types, books read, photo directories, or weight metrics.
5. User Data Rights & Full Erasure
You maintain full authority over all stored challenge logs:
- Data Portability: Pro+ users can compile their challenge records into a CSV spreadsheet at any time for transfer or personal backups.
- Total Erasure (Right to Be Forgotten): Clicking the "Reset Data" option inside Settings instantly deletes all database keys and photo files from your local folders. Because we do not store backups, this data is gone permanently.
